Marrakech Day Trip to Ouarzazate and Unesco Kasbahs

Visit and discover Ouarzazate on this private day trip from Marrakech, its kasbahs, and its film studios. Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou become must-see destinations, and a trip to Morocco would not be complete without a visit to this amazing world heritage site “the door to the desert”; located between the valleys of the Ouarzazate and the Dades wadi. Travel through the dramatic road of Tichka pass and the wonderful views of the high atlas mountains and the old road of caravans to reach the preserved site of Ait Ben Haddou. On the road that leads there, you will discover some of the most beautiful landscapes of Morocco.

We will pick you up directly from your hotel in Marrakech and drive through the route passes through valleys and deserts allowing you to enjoy spectacular views from the Atlas Mountains. We will go through the Tizi n’Tichka, a pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters: the highest pass in North Africa and it has become famous for the breathtaking view it offers. Halfway, you will benefit from a free visit to the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified city classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and which has served as the backdrop for many films. Lunch on-site, and then continue to arrive in Ouarzazate,  and start a discovery tour of the city. You can visit the Kasbahs of Taourirt and Tiffoultoute (optional). These former residences of Glaoui, a former pasha of Morocco, are among the most famous in the country. You enjoy a guided tour of the famous cinema studios of Ouarzazate. Return to Marrakech by the end of the afternoon, where you will be dropped off directly at your hotel.
